FP7125-K9 is the Cisco FirePOWER 7125 order: a 1U appliance with four copper sensing ports and eight SFP ports. The four copper interfaces have configurable bypass capability, while the eight hot-swappable SFP ports do not. This distinction matters when reproducing the traffic path of an existing inline security deployment.

Select the medium without assuming bypass

Cisco documents supported 1G copper, short-range fiber and long-range fiber SFP options for the 71x5 platform. An SFP socket does not establish which transceiver is supplied. Record the actual optical or copper modules and identify which links rely on bypass behavior; the copper-port capability cannot be attributed to the SFP interfaces.

Manufacturer support has ended

The exact FP7125-K9 row appears in the Cisco FirePOWER 7000 and 8000 lifecycle notice. Final support and signature releases ended June 30, 2024. That date has passed, so a spare of the same model does not bring renewed manufacturer coverage or a continuing signature-update commitment.
