ICX7550-48-E2 High-Density Data-Only Bundle

ICX7550-48-E2 provides 48 copper 10/100/1000 Mbps access ports without endpoint power. Its E2 suffix identifies a complete power-and-airflow bundle, not a PoE option.

Choose it for non-powered access

This model fits servers, printers, controllers and other devices that do not draw power from the switch. For powered endpoints, compare ICX7550-24P-E2 or ICX7550-48P-E2; adding injectors changes the cabling, monitoring and failure model and should be documented separately.

What the E2 kit contains

RUCKUS lists two 400 W AC power supplies and three front-to-back airflow fans. Optional port modules and transceivers are sold separately. Confirm both supplies and all fans by part number because a booting chassis does not prove a complete or airflow-consistent bundle.

Uplink and stack allocation

Two 40 GbE QSFP+ ports operate in dual-mode uplink/stacking roles. Decide the topology before ordering cables, document whether either link uses breakout, and test stack convergence or routed uplink failover under the intended software release.

Receiving evidence

Record exact PID and serial, 48 copper link tests, both AC feeds, fan direction, module-slot state, QSFP+ cable/optic PIDs, management access and software. This SKU has no R3 suffix, so remote-support inclusion must be established by a separate contract record.
