Convert the compact chassis to a two-post rack installation

EX2300-C-RMK is the Juniper rack-mount kit for EX2300-C. It provides the chassis-to-rack mounting interface and is not a switch, network module or software product.

Confirm the rack geometry before dispatch

The documented application is a two-post 19-inch rack or cabinet. Reserve the required rack position, check rail-hole style, post spacing, adjacent equipment and front cable bend radius. Do not assume that this kit provides four-post rails or a recessed mounting arrangement.

Inventory fasteners by responsibility

Match the received bracket and chassis hardware to the exact kit packing record. Rack or cabinet fasteners must suit the site hardware and should be called out separately when they are not supplied. This avoids arriving with a compatible bracket but no approved method to secure it to the posts.

Install without twisting the compact enclosure

Support the switch while brackets and rack screws are started, align the chassis level and tighten in a balanced sequence. After mounting, verify that ventilation, grounding, power input, uplinks and console access remain unobstructed and that cable bundles do not load the ears.

Close the rack acceptance record

Capture the rack identifier, U position, switch serial, kit SKU, bracket orientation, fastener type, grounding point and service clearance. Use EX2300-C-MGNT-MNT only when the design calls for a qualified ferrous surface instead of a rack.
