EX2300-C-12T-VC Low-Power Data Access Switch

EX2300-C-12T-VC supplies twelve 10/100/1000BASE-T data ports and two 1/10GbE SFP/SFP+ uplinks without Power over Ethernet. It includes the EX2300 Virtual Chassis license, while the required SFP/SFP+ optics remain separate BOM items.

Use where endpoint power is independent

The 12T variant is appropriate for desktops, printers, controllers and other devices that already have local power. Its fixed internal supply is rated at 40W AC, and Juniper lists 20W maximum system input consumption. Selecting this SKU avoids buying a PoE power subsystem where no powered endpoints are planned.

Compact passive cooling

At about 5.45lb (2.48kg), the fanless switch can support low-density branches and workgroups without adding fan noise. Rack, wall, desk and magnetic-surface placements require the matching installation method; EX2300-C rack and magnetic mounting hardware is separately orderable. Verify ambient temperature and cable strain at the actual mounting location.

Licensed logical chassis

The -VC suffix means the shipment includes the paper Virtual Chassis license. It does not add PoE, a second appliance or optical interconnects. Up to four members can share one management plane, so commissioning should confirm the selected 10GbE member links, primary/backup election, common Junos image and recovery after a member is removed.
