Protect connections in an exposed installation
The EX2300-C guard provides a physical barrier around the connected cables, with openings for them to pass through. It is useful where a compact switch is accessible on a desk or mounted under a surface. It does not add Ethernet ports, PoE capacity, Virtual Chassis capability or cloud-management entitlement.
Check the kit before fitting
Juniper describes the separately orderable kit as the guard with three number-8 Phillips truss-head screws. The installation procedure fixes it beneath the chassis; thumbscrews allow the guard to be loosened for cable insertion and then secured. Confirm the offered fasteners and the exact EX2300-C chassis before installation.
Do not confuse three different accessories
The cable guard is distinct from the EX2300-C-RMK rack-mount kit and EX2300-C-MGNT-MNT magnet mount. A standard cable lock uses the switch security slot and is separately ordered; it is not an implied part of this guard quotation. No switch chassis is included in this accessory listing.
