C9115AXI-F Internal-Antenna AP

C9115AXI-F is the internal-antenna Catalyst 9115 Wi-Fi 6 access point for the -F regulatory domain. The PID has no EWC segment, so it must not be described as an embedded-controller order.

Integrated RF pattern

Cisco specifies omnidirectional internal antennas with peak gain of 3 dBi at 2.4 GHz and 4 dBi at 5 GHz. Site placement should be based on that integrated pattern; external antenna selection applies to AXE models such as C9115AXE-EWC-Q, not this AXI unit.

Controller and entitlement gate

Confirm the intended Cisco controller, supported software release and required Cisco DNA entitlement before purchase. A used AP may need configuration cleanup or image recovery, and its prior controller association does not prove current deployment readiness.

PoE changes available features

With 802.3at, Cisco's deployment table shows full 4x4 radios, 2.5G link capability and USB at 20.4W. Under 802.3af it reduces both radios to 2x2, the link to 1G and disables USB. Validate switch PoE and LLDP/CDP negotiation.

Regulatory suffix is not optional

The final F is a regulatory-domain identifier, not a cosmetic sales suffix. Verify the installation country against Cisco's current compliance tool and do not convert inventory between C9115AXI-D, C9115AXI-B and C9115AXI-F by relabeling.

Receiving test

Match the exact chassis label and serial, inspect the integrated radome and mounting points, test Ethernet/PoE and console recovery, record software and radio status, and confirm country approval before enabling transmitters.
