ICX7250-24-2X10G Licensed Non-PoE Access Bundle

ICX7250-24-2X10G provides 24 copper Gigabit Ethernet access ports without PoE. Its 2X10G bundle changes the eight-port SFP+ uplink/stacking bank to two ports operating at 1 or 10 GbE plus six ports operating at 1 GbE.

Do not infer powered access

This exact PID lacks the P suffix and must not be specified as a PoE+ switch. Access points, cameras or phones require another powered switch or separate injectors. Record that dependency in the bill of materials instead of inheriting the 370 W figure from ICX7150-24P-2X10G.

License state determines link speed

The chassis has eight SFP+ uplink/stacking positions, but this order establishes only two as 10G-capable. A later 8X10G upgrade is a separate entitlement and depends on the 2X10G tier. Capture the installed license output and negotiated rate for every port.

Allocate stack and uplink roles

A port used for stacking is not simultaneously available as an ordinary upstream link. Define topology, optics or DACs, peer configuration, failure path and oversubscription before installation. Validate the selected FastIron release and preserve a rollback-ready configuration.

Acceptance evidence

Verify the exact PID and serial, all 24 copper links, two active 10G-capable SFP+ positions, six remaining 1G positions, fan and system-power status, stack or uplink reconvergence, software, license and backup. Choose ICX7450-48F only for a fiber-access or aggregation design that needs 48 SFP access ports and modular expansion.
