ICX7250-24P-2X10G Licensed PoE+ Bundle

ICX7250-24P-2X10G combines 24 copper Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ access ports with the first ICX 7250 uplink-license tier. The exact bundle enables two SFP+ ports for 1/10 GbE while the remaining six operate at 1 GbE.

370 W is the aggregate PoE budget

Build a powered-device schedule rather than multiplying a maximum per-port value across all 24 ports. Capture endpoint class, measured draw, startup behavior and criticality; test the required AP, phone or camera population after a reboot and during the intended external-power redundancy state.

Two 10G ports, not eight

The 2X10G license upgrades the original eight 1G uplink ports to 2×1/10G plus 6×1G. An 8X10G license is a separate staged upgrade that requires the 2X10G tier first. Record the installed license and port operating rates from the switch rather than relying only on the chassis label.

Stack design and optics

Any enabled 10G ports used for stacking are unavailable as ordinary uplinks. Define stack topology, cable/optic PIDs, failure path and management ownership. Transceiver compatibility and software support must be checked against the planned FastIron release.

Verify the exact PID and serial, 24 data links, representative PoE loads, reported 370 W budget, two active 10G entitlements, six remaining 1G SFP+ ports, fan/PSU health and configuration backup. Compare ICX7250-48P-2X10G only when 48 powered access ports and a 740 W budget are required.
