ICX7450-48F Fiber Aggregation Base Chassis

ICX7450-48F is a 48-port 1 GbE SFP fiber switch with three modular expansion slots. The unsuffixed base PID is not a complete powered bundle: RUCKUS ordering material states that its power supply, fan and uplink/stacking modules must be ordered separately.

Complete the chassis bill of materials

Specify compatible power, fan and modular uplink components with the required quantity and airflow direction. Do not infer the equipment included in E, E2 or RMT3 bundles. Record every FRU PID and serial against the base chassis before accepting the shipment.

Maximum capability is not installed capability

The product family can reach twelve 10G SFP+ or 10G RJ45 ports, or three 40G QSFP ports, depending on installed modules. Inspect the actual slots and software output; a family maximum does not prove that any of those uplinks are present in this base order.

Fiber-access validation

Build an optic matrix covering wavelength, reach, connector, fiber type, peer and supported software. Test every populated 1G SFP access path, module links, routing adjacency and stack behavior. ICX7250-24-2X10G is a different copper-access platform and cannot substitute for a 48-port fiber edge.
