SRX4600-SYS-JB-DC Telecommunications Power Order

SRX4600-SYS-JB-DC is Juniper's DC-powered SRX4600 system bundle. It combines the gateway chassis, four 100GbE and eight 10GbE interfaces, two DC power supplies, five fan trays, cables, rack-mount hardware and Junos Software Base for firewall, NAT, IPsec, routing and MPLS.

Juniper specifies a nominal -48 VDC source, an operating range of -40 to -72 VDC, 32 A at -48 VDC and 1100 W for the DC supply. A qualified designer must verify plant capacity, feeder and breaker sizing, conductor gauge and lugs, polarity, return treatment, grounding and local code before the gateway reaches the site. Do not substitute the AC bundle when the approved architecture requires native DC input.

Feed isolation and polarity test

The two field-replaceable DC supplies support a 1+1 arrangement. Label A and B feeds from the plant through the breaker and conductor path to the correct power-input terminals. Before energizing, independently verify voltage and polarity at each feed. Commissioning should isolate one source at a time, confirm continued operation and capture the associated alarm and recovery evidence.

Battery-backed operating boundary

Where the site uses a battery-backed telecommunications plant, document the expected autonomy assumptions and low-voltage operating boundary for the complete rack, not just the SRX4600 nameplate. Confirm that upstream distribution, protection and maintenance procedures preserve the required separation between redundant feeds.

Chassis receipt and serviceability

Reconcile the shipment against the DC order number and inventory both supplies, all five fan trays, the rack hardware and supplied cables. Record rack unit, grounding point, airflow, supply slots, feed labels and serials. Keep enough service clearance to replace a fan tray or power supply without disturbing fiber paths or the adjacent DC termination.

Traffic and software acceptance

For each integrated port, preserve the optic, peer, rate, routing instance and security-zone assignment. Validate the approved Junos release, configuration backup, administrator access, logs and representative firewall, NAT, IPsec and routing behavior. Optional optics, advanced licenses, threat services and support remain separate procurement decisions unless they appear explicitly on the order.

DC bundle boundary

This SKU provides DC input hardware, not an AC cord set or site rectifier/battery system. SRX4600-SYS-JB-AC is the separate utility-powered order. The two bundles share gateway and software fundamentals, but their facility designs, acceptance evidence and replacement spares are not interchangeable.
