Choose the AC hardware order for the facility

SRX4600-AC is Juniper’s AC-powered SRX4600 Services Gateway order. It is a security appliance, and the exact product list separates it from SRX4600-AC-TAA and SRX4600-SYS-JB-AC. Confirm which order the project requires; this plain AC identity does not establish TAA documentation or a Junos Base system-package entitlement.

Check the AC power modules against rack distribution

The manufacturer platform table describes the AC option with two 1600 W AC-DC supplies and 1+1 redundancy. Plan the feeds and correct cords for the offered hardware, verify the module labels, and allow rear clearance for the power-entry modules. A 1 RU height does not remove the need to check usable rack depth, installation access and cooling.

Specify native high-speed links before breakouts

SRX4600 provides four QSFP28 40/100 GbE interfaces alongside eight dedicated 1/10 GbE interfaces. The specification’s up-to-twenty-four 10 GbE total includes breakout cables on the four QSFP28 locations. Determine the intended port mode and compatible optics for each connection; a native 100 GbE interface and four breakout 10 GbE links are alternative arrangements.

Size the firewall with its enabled services

The Junos OS platform performs firewall and VPN work in security deployments. Ask for expected packet mix, inspection services and encrypted traffic before choosing capacity. Manufacturer measurements under specific laboratory test profiles cannot be treated as a guaranteed rate for a different policy set. This is not a campus access-switch order.

Define the delivered bill of materials

The quotation should identify SRX4600-AC and its serial, installed supplies, fan condition, mounting parts, cords, optics and software release. Review subscription and support rights independently of the hardware suffix. Use the official platform front-panel illustration for layout reference and retain supplied-unit photographs and acceptance records separately.
