Juniper EX3400-48T 48-Port Data Access Switch

EX3400-48T data-only access model

EX3400-48T is Juniper's 48-port non-PoE EX3400. Select it for dense copper access where endpoint power is not supplied by the switch. It is not an interchangeable substitute for EX3400-48P in a phone, wireless or camera deployment.

Port-map migration

Capture all 48 copper assignments, VLANs, authentication policies, link aggregation and storm-control behavior. For a refresh, compare occupied-port count and growth with the destination model rather than assuming another 48-port chassis preserves the same software and license behavior.

Optical and stacking dependencies

Inventory the four SFP/SFP+ uplinks, two QSFP+ interfaces, transceiver PIDs and any Virtual Chassis links. The switch supports a chassis group of up to ten EX3400 members, but the operational design and Junos release must be qualified before cutover.

Acceptance procedure

Verify EX3400-48T, front-to-back airflow, AC power and console access. Restore a reviewed configuration, test copper forwarding and each required optical speed, and retain a rollback configuration. PoE must not appear in the receiving specification for this model.
