EX3400-24T compact non-PoE switch

EX3400-24T provides 24 copper Gigabit Ethernet access ports without PoE. It is intended for data-only endpoints or sites with a separate power method. Buyers should not carry the EX3400-24P power-delivery assumptions into this order.

Right-size the access layer

Document occupied ports, expected growth, VLANs, authentication and any external injectors. This 24-port model reduces unused access density compared with 48-port variants, but an undersized design can create an immediate expansion requirement.

Junos and Virtual Chassis review

Record the current Junos release, license state and any multi-member topology. Four SFP/SFP+ and two QSFP+ interfaces provide uplink and chassis-design options; their actual role, optics and cabling must be specified for the project.

Receipt and cutover

Check the EX3400-24T identity, AC power, front-to-back airflow and console operation. Test all used copper ports and required optical links, restore the reviewed configuration, and verify management reachability. Reject any bill of materials that describes this T model as providing PoE.
