Match the TAA order and the power supply shipped with it

The manufacturer’s EX3400-24P-TAA row identifies a 24-port 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE+ switch, redundant fans, front-to-back airflow and one included JPSU-600-AC-AFO power supply. The word redundant in that row describes the fans; it does not mean that two power supplies are included. Match the offered chassis and installed module labels to this complete code. A series image or the catalog’s TAA designation cannot establish the origin or compliance paperwork of a particular unit; request the documents required for the purchase.

Budget PoE for the exact 24P supply configuration

Juniper’s hardware overview distinguishes the 24P from the higher-budget 48P. All 24 access ports of the 24P platform support PoE/PoE+. With one 600 W power supply installed, the published shared PoE budget is 370 W; with two 600 W supplies installed, it is 720 W. The exact TAA ordering line includes only one supply, so do not assume the two-supply budget from a chassis capability statement. Allocate endpoint loads, review the second supply as a separate quoted item and verify how the intended redundancy policy affects the deployment.

Assign the two types of uplink sockets deliberately

Four SFP/SFP+ uplink positions provide supported 1GbE or 10GbE connections, and two QSFP+ positions support the platform’s 40GbE links. Optical transceivers are sold separately in the exact TAA ordering row. The datasheet states that the 40GbE ports are configured as Virtual Chassis ports by default; their presence is not proof of a ready-to-use upstream Ethernet configuration. Define the required Ethernet or chassis-interconnect role, optics, cables and supported Junos release before ordering.

Keep airflow and optional expansion consistent

The specified JPSU-600-AC-AFO belongs to the front-to-back airflow configuration documented for this 24P order. Check the installed fans and any additional supply against that direction instead of mixing in the reverse-airflow 48T-AFI or other family orders. EX3400 family Virtual Chassis supports up to ten switches through suitably configured uplink connections, but a purchasing plan still needs compatible components and a verified software and support configuration. The quotation should identify the actual unit, supply count, accessories, condition, warranty provider and serial-specific entitlement; no current stock or active support contract is inferred from this catalog description.
