EX3400-24T-DC Power and Port Identity

EX3400-24T-DC is the direct-current, data-only member of the 24-port EX3400 family. It supplies 24 10/100/1000BASE-T access ports without PoE, four SFP/SFP+ uplinks and two QSFP+ ports used for uplink or Virtual Chassis connectivity.

DC Facility Requirements

Juniper specifies a JPSU-150W-DC-AFO power supply, -48 to -60 VDC input and 110 W maximum switch consumption for this model. One power supply ships installed; a second hot-removable 150 W DC supply can be added for 1+1 redundancy. Facility wiring, breaker sizing, grounding and qualified installation must follow Juniper's DC safety instructions.

Virtual Chassis and Airflow

EX3400 supports Virtual Chassis configurations of up to ten members. The EX3400-24T-DC uses front-to-back airflow. Replacement planning should confirm the Junos release, VC topology, uplink optics, QSFP+ cables, second PSU, fan modules and rack hardware rather than treating the AC and DC variants as interchangeable.
