Distinguish ordinary optical links from stack connections
Huawei describes the 1000BASE-X service interface as supporting 100 or 1000 Mbit/s. The manufacturer lists certain 10GE SFP+ modules and cables for stack connections only. Their presence in the accessory list must not be interpreted as general-purpose 10G uplink support. Match the exact module, software version and intended port role before ordering.
Leave room for side exhaust
This 1U chassis draws air from the left and front and exhausts it on the right, using an automatically adjusted built-in fan. Keep those paths clear in the cabinet. The basic body depth is 220 mm; Huawei lists a maximum depth of 227 mm including protrusions, before allowing room for cables.
Power and software checks
