Exact R250D remote-unit identity

Huawei R250D has an exact Info-Finder record under PBI ID 21722185. Its deployment role is a remote unit within a compatible central-AP WLAN architecture, so the existing AP5000 classification does not describe the product correctly.

Verified wired-interface roles

Huawei’s Fit AP command reference states that the R250D uplink GE interface works in root mode and its downlink GE interfaces work in endpoint mode by default. The installation record should therefore identify the upstream central-AP path and every endpoint-facing port before cabling.

SFN roaming boundary

Huawei’s agile distributed SFN guidance includes R250D in supported RU combinations with R250D-E, R251D, R251D-E and R450D. For the referenced central-AP design, Huawei documents a maximum of 128 SFN roaming stations on one frequency band. This is a design constraint, not a claim that arbitrary RU and central-AP combinations interoperate.

Procurement and acceptance

Confirm the central AP, software release, RU topology, power source, cabling, mounting and regulatory settings. At acceptance, verify the complete R250D label, correct uplink/downlink roles, central-AP discovery, client service and recovery after an upstream interruption.
