FC-10-0401E-247-02-DD is a per-device FortiCare Premium support entitlement for an existing FortiGate 401E. It does not include a firewall appliance, security-service bundle or separately expedited RMA add-on.

Before Ordering

The DD suffix does not establish a duration on this page. Record the authorized start and end dates, co-termination basis, service geography, account owner and serial association before purchase. Reject unexplained overlap with active coverage and preserve the quote so future reviewers can reconstruct the actual support interval.

The quote-defined evidence file must retain the commercial line, authorized dates, account owner and reason for any co-termination adjustment. Do not translate DD into an assumed annual or multiyear label in the asset register. Preserve the original quote and activation confirmation as the controlling record.

• Match platform token 0401E and the installed serial to FortiGate 401E.
• Verify the FortiCare account, registration region and present contract end date.
• Confirm the dates stated on the authorized Fortinet quote from the authorized order; do not infer a term from DD.
• Check whether Elite, Priority RMA or Secure RMA is required separately.

Platform Boundary

Support acceptance should verify SSD condition, local log purpose, export schedule, failover test and the registered 401E serial. The final model digit matters: the diskless 400E has a different operational record and must not inherit this entitlement. The asset is a storage-equipped E-series mid-range firewall; keep configuration backup and recovery ownership outside the commercial entitlement record.

Retain an SSD health snapshot, local-log objective, export test and failover result with the entitlement. Identify the incident owner for disk warnings and the authorized maintainer for firmware. This evidence prevents the storage-equipped 401E from being collapsed into a generic 400-series contract and makes recovery responsibilities visible before a support case occurs.

For 401E, the recovery decision must account for locally retained evidence. Establish whether a failed drive, failed chassis and ordinary software incident follow different escalation paths. Premium support provides the service channel, while internal policy determines how configuration, logs and potentially sensitive media are handled.

FortiCare Premium Boundary

Fortinet lists Premium support with web and telephone support, firmware updates, asset-portal access and advanced replacement under applicable RMA terms. Current Fortinet material gives Premium a one-hour target for critical issues and next-business-day response for non-critical issues. Delivery and replacement availability remain subject to diagnosis, service terms, cutoff times and geography.
