FC-10-0401E-210-02-DD is a per-device Next Calendar Day Delivery Premium RMA entitlement associated with an existing FortiGate 401E. It does not include a new firewall, base FortiCare contract or FortiGuard security subscription.

What This Code Provides

Fortinet describes this Priority RMA option as courier delivery intended for the next calendar day when the exchange is confirmed before the applicable country cutoff. Availability, diagnosis, depot coverage and actual arrival remain subject to the current service terms and location. It requires an active FortiCare Premium or Elite contract.

Before ordering, confirm the destination country, service depot, local cutoff, receiving contact and failed-unit exchange workflow. Record how the site operates until the replacement arrives. This service accelerates eligible replacement delivery; it does not provide a pre-positioned spare, onsite engineer or guarantee outside the authorized coverage area.

Installed Asset Evidence

The ordering token 0401E identifies a storage-equipped E-series mid-range platform. Retain SSD health, local-log purpose, export test and HA relationship in the asset record. Confirm who controls failed-media custody and who restores the replacement configuration.

For the 401E, retain SSD health, local-log purpose, export schedule, HA test and a named custodian for failed media. The incident plan should state who restores configuration, who validates storage and who authorizes return or destruction. Keep 400E procedures separate because the diskless sibling does not carry the same evidence-retention risk. These controls are required even when the selected RMA option includes an onsite engineer.

The 401E recovery gate requires correct policies, HA behavior, healthy SSD operation and successful event export. A technician may complete rack and cable work, but the customer’s network and security owners must approve configuration and retained-data behavior.

Acceptance File

The DD suffix does not prove a contract duration. Preserve the authorized start and end dates, covered address, serial, FortiCare owner, service geography and any co-termination terms from the Fortinet quote. Confirm the prerequisite support contract before accepting this add-on.
