FAP-221E-K Exact Regional SKU

FAP-221E-K is the region-code K order form of Fortinet's indoor FortiAP 221E. Fortinet describes the 221E/223E family as 802.11ac Wave 2, dual-radio, two-spatial-stream access points; the 221E uses internal Wi-Fi antennas and must not inherit the 223E external-antenna description.

Regional and generation boundary

Confirm the current country mapping, hardware generation, permitted channels, transmit-power limits and management-release support. Do not substitute FAP-221E-Y or another suffix because region and DFS behavior can be generation- and release-specific.

Firmware-controlled spare

Fortinet release records explicitly distinguish K-coded DFS behavior for FAP-221E Gen3. Keep the K-coded spare tied to a known generation, tested firmware and current regional approval.

Firmware-controlled spare acceptance

Boot the spare in an isolated profile, confirm generation and region, test adoption, both bands and rollback, then remove staging credentials before returning it to inventory.
