Verified hardware or bundle facts

Cisco identifies this complete ASR1001 system with four built-in Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, a 4X1GE integrated daughter card and dual power supplies. The IDC adds four 1-Gigabit Ethernet ports to the platform's built-in Ethernet set.

What this PID does not mean

This factory model is not a four-port adapter sold by itself and is not the later ASR1001-X with six built-in GE interfaces. Receiving must preserve the original ASR1001 chassis and IDC identity.

Lifecycle decision

Cisco ended sale of this ASR1001 generation in 2016 and lists April 30, 2021 as the last support date. Continued use should be tied to a documented interface migration and replacement trigger.
