Integrated ASR 1001 platform
The Cisco ASR1001 integrates the route processor, embedded services processor and SIP functions on the chassis mainboard.
Ports and expansion
Cisco documents a built-in four-port Gigabit Ethernet SPA using removable SFP optics, one half-height SPA bay, an integrated ASR1000-SIP10 and one RJ-45 10/100/1000 management interface.
Throughput licensing
The ESP forwarding level is 2.5Gbps by default. Reaching 5Gbps requires a software-activated performance license and a router reload; page identity alone does not prove that upgrade is installed.
Configuration acceptance
Record the current throughput command output, SPA and daughter-card population, optics, software release, power configuration and entitlements before procurement or replacement planning.
