AIR-AP3802I-Z-K9C: Integrated-antenna survey and configurable-domain check

AIR-AP3802I-Z-K9C is a single configurable-domain Cisco Aironet 3802I access point with integrated antennas and order token Z. Unlike a 3802E order, it does not require a separately selected external antenna assembly.

Its procurement decision depends on placement. Retain the predictive or on-site survey location, mounting height, orientation, obstructions, expected client density and cable path. If the planned ceiling position changes, repeat the coverage check rather than assuming the integrated antenna pattern will produce the same result.

K9C still requires a destination-country authorization. Record Cisco compliance evidence, the approved configured domain, controller group and reviewer before the AP joins production. The Z token must not be presented as a country mapping without current manufacturer evidence.

At installation, capture bracket fit, safety restraint, PoE negotiation, Ethernet rate, controller join and post-install radio measurements. A survey variance should be resolved through placement or RF-plan review, not by attaching an unapproved antenna.
