AIR-ANT2430V-R is Cisco's 2.4 GHz indoor office omnidirectional antenna for pre-802.11n and 802.11n Aironet access points. It operates from 2402 to 2485 MHz and provides 3 dBi peak gain.
The assembly has three 36-inch plenum-rated, UV-stable cables ending in RP-TNC plugs. Confirm all three leads and the exact AP radio-chain mapping; a single intact connector is not enough to accept the assembly.
Cisco specifies an omnidirectional H-plane and a 60-degree E-plane beamwidth. The 12.1 x 4.2 x 1.6 inch form is intended for office mounting. Ceiling structures and metal obstructions can alter the pattern and need site-survey validation.
The operating range is 0 to 55 C and Cisco states indoor office use. UV-stable leads do not create an outdoor ingress rating.
Cisco lists AIR-ANT2524V4C-R as the migration option. That successor has four ports and dual-band capability, so port count and RF design must be reassessed.
