AIR-ANT2420V-N Direct-Mount Mesh Antenna

AIR-ANT2420V-N is a compact 2.4 GHz omnidirectional antenna for compatible Cisco outdoor mesh access points. It delivers 2 dBi gain and mounts directly through an N-male connector without a coax pigtail.

Physical and RF identity

Cisco lists a 2.4-2.5 GHz range, vertical polarization and omnidirectional azimuth coverage. The antenna measures about five inches by one inch. It should not be confused with an RP-TNC antenna or with a dual-band radome.

Platform compatibility

Cisco's references identify Aironet 1570 Series mesh access points as a supported use. Confirm the exact AP model, regulatory domain, N-type external port and approved antenna list; mechanical fit does not establish regulatory approval.

Outdoor loading check

The reference guide lists 125 mph operational and 165 mph survival wind ratings. Direct mounting reduces cable loss but increases the importance of connector sealing, orientation and mechanical loading at the AP port.

Lifecycle decision

Cisco's non-SIA antenna notice lists this model without a replacement. Procurement should therefore include condition inspection, spare strategy and validation that the installed platform remains supported.
