ICX 7750 POWER AND AIRFLOW

RUCKUS RPS9DC+I DC Power Supply Selection Guide

Verify DC input, ICX 7750 compatibility and intake airflow before ordering or replacing the RPS9DC+I power supply.

RPS9DC+I is the intake-airflow DC variant

The current RUCKUS ICX 7750 data sheet identifies RPS9DC+I as a 500 W DC power supply with power-supply-side intake and port-side exhaust airflow. The similar RPS9DC+E PID reverses the airflow direction, while RPS9+I and RPS9+E are AC supplies.

Keep the complete suffix in the order. Replacing an intake unit with an exhaust unit can create mixed airflow inside the switch and conflict with the rack cooling plan.

Power-system design and field wiring must follow the current RUCKUS hardware guide and local electrical requirements. The table is a procurement cross-check, not an installation procedure.

Match the PSU and fan airflow direction

For RPS9DC+I, air enters at the power-supply side and exits at the port side. Confirm that the installed fan kit follows the same direction and that the rack cold-aisle/hot-aisle layout agrees with the intended intake and exhaust faces.

In a redundant pair, use compatible power sources and matching airflow. Record both installed PSU PIDs, switch model, fan-kit PID, DC feed, breaker or fuse reference and observed airflow during acceptance.

Replacement checklist

  1. Confirm the switch is a supported ICX 7750 model.
  2. Match the complete RPS9DC+I PID, including the intake suffix.
  3. Verify that the DC plant stays inside the documented 40 to 60 VDC input range.
  4. Check PSU and fan airflow consistency.
  5. Review redundancy, load and power-feed separation.
  6. Follow the current RUCKUS DC safety and installation procedure.
  7. Record PID, serial, slot, feed and post-installation status.
