901-T310-WW51 is the 120-degree T310s

Ruckus 901-T310-WW51 is the sectorized T310s rather than a generic T310. Ruckus defines the integrated antenna pattern as approximately 120° horizontal by 30° vertical. The sector boundary is the reason to select WW51 for directed courtyards, stands or corridor-like outdoor zones instead of the WW40 omnidirectional T310d.

Sector planning value

The T310s concentrates coverage into a defined sector, with published antenna gain up to 9 dBi. A survey should align the main beam with the intended client area and account for mounting height, downtilt, side coverage and overlap with adjacent sectors. Do not assume the antenna pattern removes interference or guarantees edge throughput.

Shared T310 radio platform

The AP uses concurrent 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz 2x2:2 radios and supports 802.11ac Wave 2 MU-MIMO. Peak PHY rates are 300 Mbps and 867 Mbps. One Gigabit Ethernet port carries data and PoE; DC input and USB are also present. Controller, firmware and license compatibility must be checked for the actual deployment.

Mechanical and power acceptance

Ruckus includes an adjustable mounting bracket with WW51 but excludes the PoE injector. Before installation, verify the label says WW51/T310s, inspect the bracket's angle adjustment, plan outdoor cable sealing and grounding, and confirm the PoE or DC source can support the AP and any USB load.
