901-T310-WW40 is the omnidirectional T310d

Ruckus 901-T310-WW40 is the T310d member of the T310 outdoor family. Ruckus's ordering reference identifies suffix 40 as the omnidirectional BeamFlex+ model. It is intended for broad local-area outdoor coverage and should not be substituted for the WW51 sector antenna when a defined 120-degree coverage boundary is required.

Coverage and radio role

The T310d runs concurrent 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz 2x2:2 radios with 802.11ac Wave 2 MU-MIMO. Its adaptive omnidirectional antennas have published gain up to 3 dBi. The 300 Mbps and 867 Mbps peak PHY figures are protocol rates; capacity and usable throughput depend on channel plan, client mix and interference.

Omni-site design checks

Use a predictive design or outdoor survey to set placement, height, transmit power and neighbor spacing. An omni AP can illuminate areas behind and beside the mounting point, so channel reuse and containment need different planning from a sector AP. Confirm the selected Ruckus controller or standalone software supports the T310d before deployment.

Power and weatherproofing

WW40 provides one Gigabit Ethernet port, PoE input, DC input and USB. The mounting bracket is included but the PoE injector is not. Complete the installation with outdoor-rated cable, drip loop, grounding and surge protection, and verify all seals before applying power.
