S6730-H48X6C provides 48 fixed 10GE access ports

Huawei CloudEngine S6730-H48X6C is the 48-port member of the S6730-H 10GE switch family. Its fixed interface set is 48 x 10GE SFP+ plus 6 x 40/100GE QSFP28, which separates it from 24-port H-series models and from the S6730-S24X6Q whose six uplinks are ordered around a different 40GE/100GE licensing path.

High-density optical aggregation

Use this model where forty-eight 10GE server, access-switch or Wi-Fi 6 aggregation links must converge in one rack unit. Build an optic and cabling matrix for every SFP+ and QSFP28 port, including wavelength, distance, fiber type, breakout requirements and peer compatibility. Base hardware does not imply that project optics or cables are included.

40/100GE port identity

Huawei publishes the six QSFP28 interfaces as 40/100GE on the S6730-H48X6C. Confirm the exact hardware part number and factory/software baseline because Huawei documents different default-rate and licensing behavior across part-number revisions. Back up configuration before changing maximum port type, and verify the effective rate after any required restart.

Wired and wireless convergence

The H-series platform can provide integrated wired/wireless management functions, with Huawei listing support for managing up to 1,024 APs. That capability still depends on the selected software package, release and deployment design; it is not evidence that AP licenses, wireless hardware or CampusInsight subscriptions are included with the switch.

Power and installation boundary

The official brochure identifies a 1U chassis and support for AC, high-voltage DC or -48/-60 V DC power modules. Verify the actual power and fan modules, airflow direction, redundant-feed design, rack depth, grounding and thermal plan from the received configuration rather than assuming all options ship together.
