S6730-H24X6C Port Configuration

S6730-H24X6C provides 24 fixed 10GE SFP+ ports and six QSFP28 uplink ports in a 1U chassis. Huawei identifies multiple BOMs under this model, including 02352FSG variants and 02353GFC, with different default QSFP28 rate and license behavior.

100GE License and BOM Difference

For 02352FSG and 02352FSG-009 units with applicable factory releases, Huawei documents a 40 Gbit/s default for the QSFP28 interfaces and requires the corresponding license before changing them to 100GE. For part number 02353GFC, Huawei states that the license is loaded by default and the interfaces default to 100 Gbit/s. Software history can preserve a previous port-rate setting, so inspect both the BOM and running configuration.

Change Control Before Port-Rate Conversion

Huawei's command reference requires a restart after changing the QSFP28 maximum rate and warns that original interface configuration may be lost. Back up the configuration, record optic and breakout use, verify the license file and schedule a maintenance window before conversion.
