Unlike a rear connector dedicated to stacking, each of this model's two QSFP+ interfaces carries 40 Gbit/s service traffic. A port can alternatively be split into four 10GE ports. Huawei requires the matching one-to-four fiber arrangement with optical modules, AOC cable or copper cable for that split. Confirm the remote-port layout, optical compatibility and cable reach before selecting media; an unsplit 40G link and four independent 10G links are different configurations.
Reserve stack connections without consuming the wrong ports
The twenty-four SFP+ service ports auto-sense between GE and 10GE with compatible modules. Huawei excludes OSXD22N00 and SFP-10G-ZR from the 10GE optical list. General stacking can use up to sixteen 10GE physical ports or both 40GE ports. The special 0.5 m and 1.5 m dedicated stack copper cables have a narrower rule: only the last sixteen SFP+ ports support their zero-configuration stacking function, starting with V200R011C10. State the chosen port numbers, cable type and software release in a stack plan.
Specify the power modules instead of relying on the AC suffix
Both supply positions accept W0PSA1701 170 W AC or ES5M0PSD1700 170 W DC modules. Huawei permits a single supply, two supplies for 1+1 redundancy, and AC/DC modules together in the same switch. The exact installed module codes and quantities must be checked on the offered unit. Rated input is 100–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz or −48 to −60 V DC according to the module. Neither RPS nor PoE is supported. A 170 W supply rating must not be represented as power available to endpoints.
Check rack clearance, altitude and the supported software window
The basic chassis measures 44.4 × 442.0 × 222.3 mm in H × W × D order; maximum depth is 250.0 mm including protruding parts. Three built-in fans intake at the left and front and exhaust to the right, so side clearance matters. Operation is specified at 0–45°C up to 1800 m, with a 1°C reduction per additional 220 m. The documented operating-altitude limit is 5000 m with AC modules but 2000 m with DC modules. Software mapping runs from V200R009C00 through V200R023C00, excluding V200R021C01. The reserved monitoring port cannot currently be used; console, ETH management and USB have their own roles.
