FN-CABLE-SFP+5 is the five-metre member of Fortinet's 10 GE SFP+ passive direct-attach family. It includes both transceiver ends and uses twinax copper; it is not an active optical cable.

Mechanical clearance

The official specification distinguishes this length with a 5.6 mm diameter and 33 mm bend radius, compared with the thinner short variants. Check cable-manager capacity, rear-door clearance, bend transitions and connector strain across the complete five-metre route.

When to reconsider the medium

Do not select the longest passive assembly merely to keep spare slack. If the route crosses cabinets, creates difficult bends or approaches an unsupported topology, compare a supported optical or active-cable design with the same endpoint and software requirements.
