FN-CABLE-SFP+3 routed-link selection

FN-CABLE-SFP+3 provides a three-metre passive 10 GE copper connection with integrated SFP+ ends. Select it only when the installed route requires more than the 1 m assembly and remains within a practical passive-DAC path.

Route survey

Record rack elevation, horizontal and vertical cable managers, service loops and the final 3 m path. The 4.5 mm cable should retain at least the documented 22 mm bend radius and must not be stretched across doors, fan trays or removable modules.

Software-sensitive compatibility

Fortinet release notes have documented platform-specific DAC behavior for some FortiSwitch models and software versions. Therefore the bill of materials must identify both endpoint models and their target software release, rather than assuming every SFP+ cage accepts this cable.
