Five-Year FortiGate 70G Enterprise Data and Attack-Surface Program

FG-70G-BDL-809-60 is a five-year hardware bundle containing one FortiGate 70G, Enterprise Protection services and FortiCare Premium support. The longer term suits sites that expect stable hardware and sustained use of data, SaaS, IoT and attack-surface controls, but it requires explicit lifecycle and policy governance.

Preserve the 70G platform design

The FortiGate 70G uses SOC5/SP5 architecture and provides ten Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 front-panel interfaces, including A/B FortiLink and WAN1/WAN2. Maintain a current port map, FortiLink design, WAN failover plan, configuration archive and replacement procedure throughout the five-year term.

Operate the full Enterprise stack

Enterprise builds on UTP with DLP, inline AI-based malware prevention, IoT discovery with vulnerability correlation, and attack-surface monitoring with posture scoring. These services support data-protection and compliance workflows only when owners review detections, approve policies, remediate weaknesses and document exceptions.

Five-year data and SaaS governance

Review DLP dictionaries, SaaS application controls, sensitive-data paths and policy exceptions at least annually. Reassess IoT inventory and vulnerability correlation as devices change. Preserve risk-score history and remediation evidence so posture improvements can be demonstrated rather than inferred from license ownership.

Lifecycle decision gates

Each year, check FortiOS support status, signature and engine update health, resource capacity, false-positive rates and hardware incidents. At the midpoint, confirm that the 70G and Enterprise scope remain suitable. Before the final year, plan renewal, policy migration or hardware replacement without allowing security services to expire during transition.

Long-term procurement controls

Retain the exact regional hardware suffix, serial, 60-month service dates, end-customer account, RMA address and support contacts. Verify the Enterprise entitlement after any authorized replacement. Quote OT Security, Elite support and Priority/Secure RMA separately where those requirements exist.
