One-Year Advanced Threat Protection for FortiGate 70G

FC-10-GT70G-928-02-12 is a 12-month Advanced Threat Protection entitlement with FortiCare Premium for an eligible FortiGate 70G. It registers security services to an existing appliance serial number and does not supply FortiGate hardware.

Exact ATP service boundary

Fortinet lists intrusion prevention, advanced malware protection, antivirus, botnet and mobile-malware intelligence, outbreak prevention, cloud sandbox detection and application control in the ATP tier. FortiCare Premium is included. Web and DNS filtering belong to UTP, while DLP, IoT vulnerability correlation and attack-surface risk scoring belong to Enterprise Protection.

File and exploit protection acceptance

After activation, verify that IPS, antivirus and application-control databases update successfully. Confirm the cloud-sandbox connection and document which file types and traffic paths are submitted or inspected under the organization's privacy policy. Assign owners for high-confidence malware and exploit events and define when a detection becomes an incident.

Thirty-day tuning plan

Establish a clean baseline for business applications, approved file flows and expected IPS signatures. Review false positives before moving controls from monitor to block. Preserve test evidence for malware, exploit and application-control policies, and repeat the checks after FortiOS upgrades or major configuration changes.

One-year procurement decision

This term supports a short budget cycle or an initial threat-protection rollout. Before expiry, compare actual incidents, sandbox usage, exception volume and 70G capacity with the next-year design. If web-category or secure DNS controls are required, evaluate UTP; if data and attack-surface governance is required, evaluate Enterprise rather than attributing those functions to ATP.

Retain the exact SKU, target serial, FortiCloud account, activation country, 12-month dates and Premium support contacts. Quote the appliance, enhanced RMA, FortiCare Elite, UTP, Enterprise and OT Security separately where needed.
