FC-10-GT70G-809-02-12 supplies 12 months of FortiGuard Enterprise Protection and FortiCare Premium for an eligible FortiGate 70G. It is a service entitlement for an existing appliance, not a FortiGate hardware bundle. What the 809 service tier covers

Fortinet documents Enterprise Protection as the ATP and UTP protection layers plus data loss prevention, AI-based inline malware prevention, IoT detection with vulnerability correlation, and attack-surface monitoring with risk scoring. FortiConverter and FortiCare Premium are included in the current Enterprise bundle matrix. OT-specific device and protocol security is not included.

Use the first year as an activation and control baseline

Confirm that IPS, malware protection, web and DNS filtering, DLP, IoT visibility and security-rating functions report a valid license. Record policy owners, expected update intervals and any approved exceptions before enabling blocking actions.

During the first 30 days, validate service activation and establish clean inventories for applications, devices and sensitive-data paths. By day 60, tune false positives and assign remediation owners. By day 90, retain evidence that the intended profiles receive updates and that high-risk findings are reviewed rather than merely collected.

Renewal decision for a short term

A one-year term is appropriate for a budget cycle, staged rollout or near-term platform review. Begin renewal planning before expiration and compare incident evidence, policy coverage, risk-score movement and hardware plans. Service expiration can interrupt signature updates and advanced security functions, so the next entitlement should be arranged before the current term ends.

Keep the exact SKU, FortiGate 70G serial, FortiCloud account, end-customer identity, deployment country, 12-month start and end dates, and support contacts together. Quote the physical appliance, FortiCare Elite, expedited RMA and OT Security separately when required.
