FC-10-F50G5-660-02-12 is a 12-month Managed FortiGate Service entitlement for one eligible FortiGate 50G-5G. Fortinet provides 24x7 access to NOC specialists for device setup and approved network or policy changes. The line is an operating service, not a firewall, FortiCare replacement plan or SOC monitoring subscription.

Clear conflicting management before onboarding

Inventory FortiManager, FortiGate Cloud, scripts and direct-administrator workflows. Managed FortiGate Service uses exclusive central management, so the customer must plan how existing management will be removed or transitioned and how emergency access will be governed.

License the actual managed unit

Match the SKU to the target serial and FortiCloud account. Each enrolled FortiGate requires its own entitlement; both members of a high-availability pair require coverage. Do not use one service line as evidence that an entire branch estate is licensed.

Assign portal roles

Name the administrator, request initiator and change approver, plus backups and after-hours contacts. Define maintenance windows, evidence requirements and emergency authorization. Separate request creation from approval where internal control requires it.

Accept the management baseline

Provide current configuration, topology, addressing, WAN/5G paths and expected use cases. Verify onboarding requests, the management tunnel and the post-transition configuration. Preserve a customer-owned baseline and test one standard change with approval and rollback evidence.

Evaluate the first-year workflow

Measure request lead time, approval delay, rejected changes, rollbacks, drift and unresolved tickets. Use the evidence to decide whether the managed model fits the branch before renewal.

Scope boundary

Hardware, RMA, carrier service, SOCaaS threat triage, customer architecture and business-risk approval remain outside this SKU unless separately stated.
