FC-10-F50G5-314-02-60 is a five-year FortiCare Essential renewal entitlement for one eligible FortiGate 50G-5G. The longer term reduces contract events but does not alter the Essential support level or include hardware and security subscriptions.

Validate the long-term contract assumption

Confirm current coverage, serial ownership, end-customer account, deployment country and written eligibility for the requested term. Review Fortinet product and FortiOS lifecycle information before relying on the appliance for all 60 months. A long SKU must not be used to bypass lapsed or incompatible coverage.

Govern access and evidence annually

Reconcile support administrators, case routing, configuration backups and unresolved incidents every year. Preserve the asset's contract and case history through staff or supplier changes. Keep the service location accurate because support and return handling can differ by country.

Use a midterm suitability gate

Compare incident response needs, hardware health, firmware path and branch outage tolerance with the actual Essential service model. If operations need faster engagement or replacement, plan a supported tier or architecture change rather than waiting for a failure.

Prepare final-year transition

Decide between renewal and platform replacement early. Export configuration and case evidence, confirm whether any contract transfer is permitted and avoid a support gap during migration. Remaining entitlement movement is not assumed.
