Define the migration pair

Record the source vendor, platform, software version and exported configuration, together with the target FortiGate 50G-5G, intended FortiOS release, VDOM design and cutover window. Confirm that the source platform and requested conversion are supported before submission.

Preserve an auditable source package

Keep the original export, collection date and hash, plus inventories of interfaces, objects, policies, NAT, routes, VPNs and certificates. Record obsolete or unsupported features and handle secrets through the approved process. This establishes which source state was actually converted.
