FC-10-00306-288-02-DD Bandwidth Monitor Check

FC-10-00306-288-02-DD is the SD-WAN Network Monitor entitlement for one existing FortiGate 300E. It enables Fortinet-hosted underlay bandwidth and quality tests; it does not include a firewall appliance, carrier circuit, Overlay-as-a-Service or managed network operation.

Before Testing

The DD suffix follows the validity period authorized on the quote. Preserve exact start and end dates, serial, account, region and co-termination terms.

Before activation, match the serial and FortiCloud account, verify FortiOS support, identify every WAN member and establish a non-disruptive test schedule. Results must be reviewed alongside latency, jitter, loss, carrier commitments and application behavior before configuration values change.

• Verify FortiOS support, test region, schedule and evidence destination.

WAN Acceptance

The platform token 00306 maps to a diskless E-series mid-range SD-WAN edge. Map the 300E serial, sixteen copper and sixteen SFP paths, WAN members, HA peer, test servers, SLA rules and off-box evidence destination.

Separate business Internet, private WAN and management paths. Run tests outside congestion investigations unless the purpose is explicitly to capture the degraded condition.

Confirm upstream and downstream results, interface mapping, SD-WAN health checks, HA and central logs. Store before-and-after shaping values with an owner.

The 300E worksheet pairs each WAN member with its physical copper or SFP path and approved Fortinet test region. Compare scheduled results with live SLA probes so a speed test does not mask packet loss or jitter. Because there is no local storage workflow, evidence completeness depends on off-box delivery. Close only after both peers share the intended settings and representative applications remain stable.

Included Function

Fortinet maps service code 288 to SD-WAN underlay bandwidth and quality monitoring. Supported workflows can measure upstream and downstream capacity and use results as references for interface estimated bandwidth, traffic shaping and SD-WAN policy decisions. Test availability and limits depend on FortiOS and the registered entitlement.
