FC-10-00306-212-02-DD is a per-device 4-Hour Hardware and Onsite Engineer Premium RMA entitlement associated with an existing FortiGate 300E. It does not include a new firewall, base FortiCare contract or FortiGuard security subscription.

What This Code Provides

Fortinet defines this Priority RMA option as an eligible replacement part and an onsite engineer arriving under the four-hour service level; the part and engineer may arrive separately. The engineer racks and cables the appliance under the service description. Active FortiCare Premium or Elite, diagnosis, registration and geographic availability are prerequisites.

Confirm site access, escort requirements, rack position, cabling record, configuration-restore owner and the boundary between engineer tasks and customer change approval. Preserve the country service confirmation and escalation route. The onsite engineer does not remove the need for a tested configuration backup, network owner or authorized maintenance window.

Installed Asset Evidence

The ordering token 00306 identifies a diskless E-series mid-range platform. Preserve interface ownership, HA peer, central log repository and current configuration backup. Keep this service separate from FortiGate 301E because the storage and failed-media handling assumptions differ.

For the 300E, preserve the interface map, protected zones, HA peer, central log repository and a tested configuration backup. The recovery team should be able to stage a diskless replacement and restore external observability without copying a 301E procedure. Record the maintenance authority and the services moved during failover. These artifacts give the courier or engineer workflow a precise network context instead of a generic mid-range firewall label.

The 300E recovery gate is stable HA membership, correct zone forwarding and restored central logging. Since there is no local disk responsibility, focus acceptance on policy behavior, routing, external diagnostics and synchronization with the exact mid-range peer.

The DD suffix does not prove a contract duration. Preserve the authorized start and end dates, covered address, serial, FortiCare owner, service geography and any co-termination terms from the Fortinet quote. Confirm the prerequisite support contract before accepting this add-on.
