N77-C7706-B36S3E pairs the Nexus 7706 chassis with one Supervisor 3E and six Fabric-3 modules. It fills the fabric positions, but the exact Cisco order does not provide a standby supervisor, power supplies, line cards or optics.

Full fabric does not create control-plane redundancy

Six FAB3 modules support the chassis's maximum documented fabric population, with each module contributing 464 Gbps per slot and the six-module set supporting up to 2.64 Tbps per slot. A single SUP3E remains a distinct failure domain. N77-C7706-B36S3E-R is the corresponding order when two supervisors are required.

Document the recovery design

Record the SUP3E PID, serial, 64 GB DDR4, SSD health, boot images, license state, NX-OS and EPLD. If only one supervisor will be installed, keep a tested configuration backup and define replacement time. If adding a second later, Cisco requires the same supervisor type and compatible software state.

Complete power and forwarding separately
