N77-C7710 is the 14RU Cisco Nexus 7700 chassis. Its ten-slot layout reserves two positions for supervisors and provides eight I/O module slots. The exact base order includes fan trays but no power supplies; it should not be confused with a B33 or other supervisor-and-fabric bundle.

Choose the fabric generation with the installed cards

The chassis has six fabric-module slots. Cisco lists both Fabric-2 and Fabric 3 support for the ten-slot platform, but the ordered components and software still need a compatibility review. Ask for the supervisor, fabric and line-card inventory rather than assuming all generations can be mixed.

Include power and rack depth in installation planning

Eight power-supply positions are available, with the populated quantity and redundancy determined by the configured system. The chassis is 34 inches deep, or 40 inches with doors and cable management; a Generation 2 fan tray adds 1.75 inches. Confirm the rack and electrical plan using the actual assembly.

Evaluate the remaining service window before expansion

This precise PID appears in the Nexus 7700 retirement notice: sale ended October 12, 2023, and the final support milestone is October 31, 2028. Check active contract eligibility for the offered unit and compare a migration configuration against the required interfaces and features. The date alone is not a promise of support entitlement.
