N77-C7702 - Cisco Nexus 7000 Series

A compact chassis with a single I/O module

Cisco N77-C7702 is the 3RU Nexus 7700 chassis with one dedicated supervisor position and one I/O module slot. It does not use fabric modules. The compact layout differs from the dual-supervisor larger chassis and should be checked against the required availability design.

Apply the explicit module compatibility exception

The Cisco data sheet explicitly excludes N77-F248XP-23E from the two-slot chassis compatibility list. Check the intended I/O card and supervisor against the actual software release before ordering. A general Nexus 7700 family label is insufficient to establish that a particular module fits this enclosure.

Distinguish the bare chassis order from the AC bundle

The N77-C7702 ordering row includes its fan tray and no power supplies, although the enclosure has two power-supply slots. This is not the N77-C7702-S2E-AC bundle. Obtain a quotation listing the supervisor, I/O card and supplies individually so that the system can be assessed as an operable configuration.

Check cabinet fit and lifecycle together

Chassis depth is 29.1 inches, or 35.1 inches with doors and cable management. Cisco ended sale of this PID on October 12, 2023 and sets the last support date at October 31, 2028, subject to entitlement. For a space-constrained legacy replacement, verify both physical fit and the operational support plan before purchase.
