C1-N9K-C9508-B2 contains the eight-line-card-slot Nexus 9508 chassis, one supervisor, three power supplies, two system controllers, six fabric modules and three fan trays.

Chassis scale

The 9508 can accept up to eight line cards, eight power supplies, six same-family fabric modules, two controllers and two same-type supervisors. B2 fills all fabric positions but not the maximum supervisor or PSU positions.

Data-plane design remains open

Line cards and optics are not in the official B2 description. Verify fabric-module type and capacity against every planned card, including oversubscription, buffer and NX-OS/ACI support.

Power and airflow

Three power supplies may not meet every redundancy target once eight slots are populated. Calculate input redundancy and maximum draw, and confirm that fan trays, fabric blanks and card airflow all use the correct direction.

Receiving checklist

Count one supervisor, three PSUs, two controllers, six fabrics and three fan trays. Record every PID/serial and inspect the 9508 backplane and line-card guides before adding cards.

Lifecycle

Cisco ended sale of the legacy Cisco ONE PID on March 1, 2021; vulnerability support ended February 29, 2024 and the last support date was February 28, 2026. Treat the C1 entitlement and any transfer rights as a separate acceptance item.
