Count the redundant processors

The exact historical Security HA order contains two ESP10 forwarding processors and two RP1 route processors. The SIP10 carrier quantity is one. Check actual module labels and counts before treating an offered chassis as this bundle; the SHA suffix alone does not verify the installed inventory.

Reconcile the three feature licenses

Cisco associates the original package with SASR1R1-AESK9-21SR and the FLASR1-IPSEC-RTU, FLASR1-FW-RTU and FLASR1-FPI-RTU licenses. These identify IPsec VPN, firewall and NBAR/FPM features. Obtain license records and installed software details instead of assuming that a hardware-only replacement transfers all rights.

Evaluate HA and throughput separately

Two 10 Gbps ESPs in an HA order do not establish a 20 Gbps encrypted-throughput claim. Evaluate the deployed redundancy mode, traffic profile and software independently. The single carrier-card line also does not identify any supplied shared port adapters or optical modules.

Use the ASR1006 platform reference with limits

Cisco describes ASR1006 as a 6RU platform that is no longer sold. Chassis capability and the official chassis illustration do not certify power supplies, adapters, condition or support eligibility of an offered unit. Assess individual components and software lifecycle before relying on this legacy system.

Compare the requested replacement with the installed system

Provide the existing module inventory, software release, licensed features and required interface list with the enquiry. Confirm PSU type, accessories and support terms separately on the quotation. The original ordering description is a configuration reference, not a present-stock or current-vendor-warranty promise.
