AIR-ANT2524DG-R is the gray-radome member of Cisco's AIR-ANT2524Dx-R indoor dipole family. It is a single antenna with one RP-TNC plug, not a four-antenna kit or an access point.

Electrical identity and visible difference

Cisco states that the gray, black and white versions are electrically the same. This PID provides 2 dBi peak gain from 2400 to 2500 MHz and 4 dBi from 5150 to 5850 MHz. The procurement difference from AIR-ANT2524DB-R is radome color: gray rather than black.

Connector and radio compatibility

Use it only with Cisco radios that provide dual-band RP-TNC antenna ports. Cisco's reference identifies compatibility with external-antenna variants in the Aironet 1830, 1850, 2800 and 3800 families and Catalyst 9115AX, 9120AX and 9130AX families. Confirm the exact AP suffix and required antenna count before ordering.

Indoor placement and articulation

The antenna is an indoor omnidirectional dipole with a 90-degree articulation radius. Cisco specifies a 6.63-inch overall length, 50-ohm nominal impedance and less than 2:1 VSWR. Orient all antennas consistently and keep them clear of metal, cable bundles and obstructions that distort the intended coverage.

Quantity is a deployment decision

The page describes one antenna. Some compatible external-antenna APs require multiple dipoles; for example, Cisco documents four external connectors on the 3802E/P platform. Match quantity, color, connector and regulatory deployment to the actual radio rather than assuming one unit completes the AP.
