JZ024A Aruba AP-344 US FIPS/TAA Order Code

JZ024A identifies the United States FIPS/TAA orderable AP-344. It is a connectorized Aruba 340 Series campus access point with dual 4x4:4 MU-MIMO radios and a SmartRate uplink. This compliance-specific PID is not interchangeable with the ordinary US, Japan or Israel order codes.

Compliance-led procurement

Preserve the JZ024A label, FIPS/TAA designation and US regulatory identity in the purchase order, receiving record and asset register. The project must separately validate the required validated software mode, approved cryptographic configuration and destination rules; the hardware name alone does not prove that an installed system is operating in a compliant state.

External antenna bill

AP-344 does not contain the AP-345 integrated antenna system. Select approved external antennas, RF cables or direct-attach arrangements for the planned patterns and mounting positions. Record connector loading, antenna gain, cable loss and regulatory limits before enabling radios. The ordering guide also requires a compatible PoE injector or AC adapter when switch power is not supplied.

Lifecycle migration

The 340 Series is end of sale. HPE maps the US TAA AP-344 path to the destination-appropriate AP-534 TAA family. A migration review must cover antenna compatibility, mount, PoE, SmartRate switching, software support and regulatory approval instead of assuming the replacement is a drop-in swap.
