JX952A Standard AP-207 Order Line

JX952A is HPE Aruba Networking's standard AP-207: an indoor controller-based 802.11n/ac access point with dual 2x2:2 radios and integrated antennas. It is distinct from FIPS/TAA SKU JX953A and from the separately numbered IAP-207 Instant models.

Mode compatibility check

This PID belongs to HPE's controller-based AP list. Record the intended Mobility Controller or ArubaOS management platform, software version, capacity and regulatory configuration before purchase. JX952A should not be acquired for an Instant cluster that expects a local virtual controller; that requirement uses a different IAP product number.

Standard versus compliance SKU

Use JX952A only where the standard AP-207 order line satisfies the project's sourcing and compliance rules. When FIPS/TAA evidence is mandatory, evaluate exact SKU JX953A and preserve its documentation. The two units share AP-207 radio architecture, but their procurement identities are not interchangeable.

Power-source acceptance

HPE's ordering guide tells buyers to add a PoE injector or AC adapter as needed. Verify that the access switch or midspan provides compatible power and has sufficient remaining budget, then test AP startup and controller join over the installed cable path. Do not describe the optional injector or adapter as included with the base AP.

Commissioning record

Keep the serial and JX952A label, controller assignment, AP group, software image, regulatory domain, radio test, cable and mounting details. HPE notes that flat ceiling-rail adapters ship with the AP; alternative ceiling or wall conditions require the appropriate optional mounting accessory.
