RPS15-E 250 W Exhaust-Airflow AC Power Supply

RPS15-E is the 250 W AC non-PoE power-supply option whose power-supply side exhausts air, producing front-to-back chassis airflow. RUCKUS ordering tables associate this PSU family with compatible non-PoE ICX platforms; the ICX 7650 data sheet limits its use within that family to ICX7650-48F.

The E suffix defines airflow

Preserve the complete PID on the purchase order. The E suffix is not a regional code or efficiency grade: it identifies the exhaust version. RPS15-I is the opposite-direction intake model, so the two cannot be substituted without checking the entire chassis airflow plan.

Non-PoE power boundary

This 250 W unit supplies switch system power and is not the 1,000 W RPS16 PoE supply. Do not use its wattage as a PoE budget or promise powered endpoints. Confirm the exact chassis, PSU bay, input power, installed fan direction and redundancy design before installation.

Receiving and replacement checks

Record the PID, serial and hardware revision; inspect connector and latch condition; verify front-to-back airflow against the chassis label and fans; then test PSU status, alarms, load sharing and failover where a second unit is installed. Keep RPS9+E separate because it is a 500 W ICX7750 supply with a different platform and lifecycle.
